Physical: 100 started as a Korean reality show about one question: what does the most complete body look like? Three years later it’s a franchise. Netflix now has versions made or in production in Korea, across Asia, in Italy, Mexico, the United States, France and Sweden.

Physical: 100 (South Korea)
The original was created by MBC producer Jang Ho-gi and premiered on Netflix on 24 January 2023. A hundred athletes – bodybuilders, Olympians, MMA fighters, soldiers, firefighters – each had a plaster cast made of their torso. Lose, and you smash it.
Season 1 was won by Woo Jin-yong, a 37-year-old CrossFit athlete and snowboarder, with Jung Hae-min runner-up. Netflix made a point of it: the lean endurance athlete beat the bodybuilders. Season 2, Underground, premiered on 19 March 2024 and went the same way. CrossFitter and YouTuber Amotti (Kim Jae-hong) beat former firefighter Hong Beom-seok in the final for the ₩300 million prize.
Physical: Asia
For the third season Netflix went regional. Physical: Asia premiered on 28 October 2025 with eight national teams of six and a ₩1 billion prize, about US$700,000. The captains included Manny Pacquiao for the Philippines, Superbon for Thailand and Yushin Okami for Japan.
South Korea, captained by MMA fighter Kim Dong-hyun, beat Mongolia 2–0 in the final. Australia finished third – more on that below.
Physical 100: Italy
The first single-country remake outside Korea. Physical Italia: da 100 a 1 premiered on 11 September 2026, is produced by Endemol Shine Italy and pays €100,000. It’s released in weekly batches, and the final lands on Friday 2 October. Olympic rings champion Jury Chechi was out in week one. The six men left for the final are judo champions Manuel Lombardo and Emanuele Bruno, firefighter Tommaso Nisi, surf champion Edoardo Papa, footballer Matteo Sartori and DJ Giulio Domi. Physical 100: Mexico
Habilidad Física 100: México, made by Endemol Shine Boomdog, premiered on 16 September 2026 and released its finale a week later. The winner was Ángel Quintero, a 38-year-old obstacle racer who had been knocked out once and came back through the redemption round. He beat army captain Jesús Cárcamo in a sack-carrying final for 3 million pesos.

Coming next: USA, France and Sweden
Physical 100: USA
Netflix announced the American version at its May 2024 upfront, with A. Smith & Co. Productions producing. Filming started in Toronto in late July 2026. There’s no release date or prize amount yet.
100% Physique (France)
Netflix ordered the French adaptation in July 2026. It’s made by Banijay France label ALP (Adventure Line Productions), and the winner takes €200,000 – twice Italy’s prize. No release date yet.
Physical 100: Sweden
Filming began in Sandviken in May 2026, produced by Banijay Nordic label Meter Entertainment, with a premiere due in 2027. The cast includes swimmers Sarah Sjöström and Therese Alshammar, former UFC fighter Alexander Gustafsson and Olympic ski champion André Myhrer.
Is there a Physical 100: Australia?
Not yet. No standalone Australian version has been announced.
Australia has been in the arena, though. In Physical: Asia, a six-person Team Australia captained by former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker finished third of eight. They went out in the Pillar Push death match, falling four laps short of the 100 they needed.
If Netflix wants to make one, most of the new remakes are being made by Banijay companies – the labels behind the Italian, Mexican, French and Swedish versions all belong to the group. We’ll report it here first if an Australian version is announced.
Who actually wins Physical 100?
A pattern has held so far. The winners of both Korean seasons were CrossFit athletes, and Mexico’s winner is an obstacle racer and HYROX competitor. The bodybuilders, the heavyweights and the biggest names tend to go out before the final.
That’s because most of the challenges aren’t one-rep tests. They’re long, ugly efforts – hanging, pushing, carrying and running for as long as the body allows.
