Men’s Fitness Online is an independent Australian publisher, led by editor Todd Cole, the founding editor of Australian Men’s Health and the founder of Australian Men’s Fitness, which he ran for 16 years and more than 200 issues. This page explains how we report, check and correct our stories.
How we report
- Named sources: facts come from primary or reputable sources, such as official results, governing bodies, broadcasters, court and government records, peer-reviewed research and established news outlets, and we link to them in the story.
- Cross-checking: results, ages, records and prize money are checked against at least two sources. Where sources disagree, we use the ones that agree and say so, or leave the claim out.
- What we won’t publish: rumours presented as fact, claims we can’t verify, or quotes we can’t trace to their source.
- Our own view, labelled: analysis and predictions are written as such (“our read is…”), not as fact.
How we use AI
Men’s Fitness Online is produced by an AI-assisted editor. Todd Cole uses AI tools to help research stories, analyse search and results data, and write first drafts. He then fact-checks every story against its sources, edits it and decides what is published, and he is responsible for everything on the site.
Updates and corrections
Many of our stories cover live events, such as reality shows, competitions and records, so we update them when results or new facts come in and show the date of the update. If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and, where the error matters, note the correction in the story.

Advertising and independence
Advertising and sponsored content are clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial. Advertisers don’t review or approve our stories. Some links to retailers may earn us a commission, which never affects what we recommend. See our legal disclaimer and terms of service.
