A year after becoming the first Brazilian man to win an Olympia title, the 31-year-old finished third behind Britain’s Niall Darwen and Germany’s Mike Sommerfeld. He’s already said he’ll be back: he plans to return to the Arnold Classic in 2027.

Who is Ramon Dino?
Ramon Dino was born Ramon Rocha Queiroz on 9 February 1995 in Rio Branco, the capital of the Amazon state of Acre, according to his Wikipedia profile. His nickname, “O Dinossauro do Acre”, comes from his home state, and he’s now the biggest Classic Physique star in Brazil and Latin America.
He won Mr Olympia Brasil in 2018 to earn his IFBB pro card, made his Olympia debut in 2021 and finished fifth. For the next few years he was stuck behind Chris Bumstead, who won six straight Classic Physique titles from 2019 to 2024: Dino was runner-up to him in 2022 and 2023, and won the 2023 Arnold Classic. He’s coached by Chris Aceto.
What is Classic Physique?
Classic Physique is the division between Men’s Physique and the Men’s Open. It rewards the look of bodybuilding’s golden era: big but proportioned, with a small waist, and with a maximum weight for each height. For Dino, at 5ft 11in, Wikipedia gives that limit as 103kg (227lb). Men’s Open bodybuilders like Nick Walker have no weight limit at all.

From champion to third: his 2025 and 2026 Olympias
With Bumstead retired, Dino won the 2025 Classic Physique Olympia and US$100,000, the first Brazilian man to be crowned a Mr Olympia champion. He skipped the 2026 Arnold Classic to focus on defending it.
It didn’t work out. At the 2026 Olympia, Niall Darwen won his first title, Sommerfeld was second and Dino third, worth US$20,000 (Fitness Volt). Darwen’s rise was remarkable: he was 11th two years earlier.

Dino thanked his family, team and sponsors afterwards and called the result a lesson rather than a setback, promising to come back improved (Fitness Volt). On 1 October he announced on YouTube that he’ll compete at the 2027 Arnold Classic, which he won in 2023 (Generation Iron).
