Recovery isn’t the soft side of training anymore. People are finally taking it seriously because hammering yourself in the gym only works if you can bounce back. That’s why recovery studios are booming across Australia, and why XtraClubs, the self-service, tech-driven wellness brand behind the jam-packed spots in Bondi and Green Square, is expanding again.

Two new clubs are on the way: XtraClubs Marrickville and Manly. Marrickville in late 2025 and Manly in early 2026. This is “affordable luxury” wellness growing up. Longer opening hours, more recovery tools, better design, and prices that don’t look like a car payment’s come out.

Marrickville is the flagship. You’ll get two Finnish saunas, including one of the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, plus a smaller silent sauna. Four custom infrared saunas built for targeted sessions. Six ice baths at 3°C and 10°C. One steam room designed with old-school heat therapy in mind. There’s also a dedicated silent zone for people who prefer proper switch-off time.

Manly is the coastal twin, with a large traditional Finnish sauna, three infrared saunas, six ice baths with both temperature options, and a steam room. Both clubs run from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week, so fitting in recovery is officially a you problem, not a scheduling problem. Founding memberships to XtraClubs Marrickville and Manly are open now and won’t be repeated once they’re gone.
