Anytime Fitness has signed a major deal with Saudi group ABFit to open at least 60 clubs across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the next six years. The first site is set to open in Riyadh in spring 2026, with both men’s and women’s gyms planned.
The move aligns with the country’s ambitious Vision 2030 plan — a multi-billion-dollar drive to get more Saudis moving and boost national health. It’s also another big step for Purpose Brands, the US-based company that owns Anytime Fitness, Orangetheory, and other global wellness names.

With the Saudi launch, Anytime Fitness will now operate in 49 countries and territories, serving close to five million members worldwide. Not bad for a brand that started as a 24/7 key-fob gym in small-town Minnesota (main image above).
The Saudi rollout signals more than global domination. It shows how fitness is becoming infrastructure — governments investing in strength, conditioning, and wellbeing the way they once did in roads and rail.
Anytime’s entry into the region is expected to bring a mix of coaching, nutrition, and recovery support, delivered through its trademark 24/7 model. In other words, same purple glow, new time zone.
For Aussie readers, there’s a familiar link: Australia was one of the brand’s first international success stories when it landed here in 2008 under Collective Wellness Group, now home to more than 500 local clubs. That playbook clearly worked — and now it’s going global again.
“Our vision has always been simple — make health happen for everyone, everywhere,” said Purpose Brands in the launch statement.
So, if you ever head to Riyadh, take your fob.
